Social events post birth?

I’m a FTM due next mid-May and a maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding in summer. If I hosted (with lots of help from the bridal party, and not at my home) a bridal shower 1 month after giving birth, is that realistic? Assuming that everything is normal about my delivery, of course.

Trying to figure out if pre-birth would be better (I will be huge and don’t want to distract from the bride) or if post birth would make more sense. Thanks for your input!!
