Canker sore vs. Herpes

This is the first time kissing a new partner this past Saturday and after our little make out session a part of my lip kinda swelled up. Then later it didn’t go down and I just figured it was a lip hickey nbd. But now on inside of my lip where it was swollen is what looks like a canker sore (i get them semi-often) but never two different ones in the same general area. So I’m worried... do any of y’all know like a visual difference between oral herpes and canker sores??
