Gamer boyfriend

I only play video games on the occasion but my boyfriend is a hardcore gamer. I’ve known this since we first got together and it wasn’t an issue at first. I would notice we would spend less time together due to his excessive gaming but I’m his first girlfriend so I just attributed it to him not finding the balance between the two. We already lived together so I thought I’d bring it up to him. His reply was that “ games were here before me and they will be here after me.” I was upset but I brushed it off. Fast forward to now and it still hasn’t gotten any better. He wanted to go to a friends house to play a new game but I wanted to spend time with him and asked him not to go but he told my reason wasn’t good enough and he left anyway. We are almost at the three year mark in our relationship and he’s recently told me the same thing about the games being there before me. Combined with some other things, I think I’ve reached my breaking point.
