how much does your baby weigh???

i went in today and i’m 36 + 2 and my doctor told me i’m measuring small. he then got me an ultrasound done and i was told my baby only weighs five pounds and he is in the 12th percentile for weight. it has me really upset to know that he is underweight but i wanna know how much your babies weigh right now.. is that really that small??

I’m 34 almost 35 weeks, baby is measuring nearly 6 pounds. 
But honestly I hate it when they scare Moms with the weight or size etc... I was told with my first baby that she was VERY small, concerning. Her head was tiny , every measurement indicated a small baby. I ate to no end, thinking I wasn’t eating enough. I gained 55 pounds trying to pack on the weight for her. 
She WAS indeed a small girl- I gave birth at 37 weeks, she was 5 lbs 12 ozs. 18”. She was never on the percentile charts. Every appointment, “she’s small” YEAH I KNOW. But she was on her own growth curve. She grew at her own pace! She never lost weight or stayed the same size, just on her own wave. Guess what she’s 13 now and still petite ! But she’s also my height now nearly 5’1” lol 😆

At 36 weeks they told me she weighs 5lbs 11oz. Recently my doctor told me as long as they're above the 10th percentile they don't stress about it.

I had an ultrasound last week at 35+1 and he was measuring 5lbs and in the 23rd percentile. They told me anything above 10th percentile is fine.
However, these measurements are not always accurate. My friend’s baby measured over 7lbs on her 36 week growth scan and she delivered two weeks later at 38 weeks and he was 6lbs 15oz.

When i was 37 weeks i was in the 5th percentile. I believe 4lb15oz. It’s upsetting . Sometimes babes are small. As long as you don’t go below 10 , doctors don’t worry too much. I get monitored 2 times on top of my OB appointments. If you do go below 10 you’ll get monitored to make sure your blood flow , baby heart rate, blood pressure ,etc are doing fine. My husband and I were pretty big as babies and our baby isn’t but try not worry too much. If anything does worry your doctor they will probably induce you. Just don’t be afraid to ask questions and research. Wishing you the best of luck.
