Are false negatives possible on Nexplanon?

Question

I took a HPT around 8 weeks after I had withdrawal sex. I then took another one at 9 weeks. They both said "not pregnant". 
Is this accurate? I've read somewhere that Nexplanon can make it say false when it's positive. I've been having sex with condoms since then.

If it’s been 9 weeks since you had unprotected sex and the tests say negative you’re not pregnant. The test would definitely be positive at this point, Nexplanon has nothing to do with it

When on nexplanon most propel don’t have a period and if they do it’s irregular. I personally never had a period at all just spotting.
