I feel self conscious

so I just changed my nose ring and I’m very unsure on how to feel about it, I mmmm talking to this guy and I was talking about how I was having mixed feelings about it and after I finally felt a little better I sent him a picture of myself and he just said “I’ve never been in this situation before” like what the heck what does that mean and does it look okay???
