Hipbone/Side Waist Kicks?

Hi Ladies,

I am 35+1. My baby is very active, I usually feel her kicks at my stomach (or where my stomach was!) and for the last 2 weeks she started to kick right side of my waist. Literally right over my hip bone.

My doctor and midwife confirmed that she is in head down position and her back is turned to my right side.

So howcome can she kick my right side of my waist if she is head down and turned her back to my right side? Can it be her elbow? I am so confused, cannot imagine that she can be that big already.
