Need some advice

My bf and I have been together for 2 years about to be 3, my bf yesterday told me that he wants to get married soon like in a year or two, he’s 20 about to be 21 soon & I’m 19 about to be 20, I think we’re way too young to get married, i told him to wait at least 4-5 years to even propose, I told him that I would like a promise ring in the mean time but even If I don’t get one I don’t mind, he also brought up the talk about having kids and he knows how I feel about having kids any time soon, kids for me right now is a big NO, I’m a full time student in community college and my parents bring a lot of pressure to finish college and get a degree etc. I know I cannot let them down or myself down. I told him how I felt, but I’m fine not being married so early, none of that will change my love for him, i don’t see the hurry on trying to have kids or getting married, I feel as thought he wants to be quick on those stuff because he thinks I will leave him one day? Like marriage is his sense of protection? Am I the only one who thinks this? I told him not to hurry so much and things will come when the time is right, I really don’t want kids and get married until I’m 26 or 27. We are so young and I know our partying and going out stage is just starting, bringing all of that is not a good idea.
