PCS Advice

Heyyy...so I need some help/advice. My husband is currently on a short tour in Greenland. As of right now we are projected to PCS to California once his short tour is done. I know that could change at any moment but we are going with that since he got approved for that follow on. Anywho, could anyone give me some advice on the PCS process? I know we could get info from TMO and such but TMO, MPS and Finance at our last base royally screwed us with this short tour and we were given incorrect info. Like do you think a DITY (do it yourself) move is better than having the Air Force move us? Any pointers or tips to help ease the process? I will take any advice I can get because my husband and I are completely clueless lol. Thanks in advance.

Side note: we do not have any kids to worry about with this move
