Labor + boot camp???

Question

I know during deployments there are ways to get ahold of your spouse in the event that you go into labor. But am I able to do that if he’s just in boot camp? I don’t expect him to come home or anything, but can I use Red Cross and maybe send him the message? I am due December 15th and his graduation date is the 14th. Also..I know they ship you off to A-school right after. Will the Navy pay to move me to Charleston (his A-school is two years)? Or will I be responsible for moving by myself with a newborn? I just don’t know what to expect. FTM and a new Navy spouse, so please be nice!

The Red Cross is useless for this. I went into labor while my husband was in boot and called the red Cross number that his command gave me. They said we can only help you if he's deployed
 If he's stateside you need to contact his command.

While I don’t know exactly what the protocol is for the navy, I’d assume, based on Air Force protocol, that the Red Cross would send a message out to your husband if you went into labor while he’s at boot camp, thought he wouldn’t be able to leave he may be able to call. 
And I know in the Air Force if they’re schooling after boot camp is longer than a certain time you’d be on orders to live with him there and two years is a long training school. So I’d assume the military would pay to move you there with him.

You may also check if there is a FB page. There was one when my husband went , they would post pictures and I remember them saying if a baby was born send it through the FB page & they’d get them a picture
