Is it your civic duty to stay current in politics ?

Do you believe you owe it to your country to know who is running for what office and what they stand for ?

This is piggybacking off of my other post about voting Nov 6.

A lot of people say they aren’t educated on who is running and what their platforms are etc.

But I wonder how far does civic duty extend? Does it include the duty to vote and be informed ? Do we technically owe our country and country men/women/people anything via our votes ?

Where does our civic duty end ? Is this a clear cut answer ?
