Paraguard?

Question

What are your thoughts? I didn’t have a good experience with mirena so I’m a little skeptical to try this one but I ABSOLUTELY hate taking a pill every single day. 
A few questions:
Did you gain weight?
How were your periods?
How long did you bleed for after initial insertion?

I got mine about 5-6 weeks ago. Bled for a few days after. Cramping was rough but I'm a wuss with that anyways. Since then it's been fine. I get achey occasionally but I also just had a baby 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also had a c section and had never dialated. Just now starting my first period I've been crampy off and on for a couple days but nothing bad at all. I can not/ will not ever do a hormonal birth control again if for some reason this one doesn't work out it's back to condoms for us.

I got mine 3 weeks ago. I spotted for about 4 or 5 days. Cramping wasn’t that bad. I have had no weight gain so far..but since its not hormonal there shouldn’t be weight gain with it. I got it so I could continue to breastfeed without Worrying about hormones.

Im getting mine Friday! From what I have been told periods tend to be a little heavier and it can be uncomfortable at first but to be able to breastfeed and not worry about hormones or taking a pill every day, a little extra blood and cramping seems completely worth it

I got Paraguard and had it taken out two weeks later. I never stopped bleeding and cramping and I felt really bloated the whole time, even though they say it can’t have a weight gain effect since it’s non hormonal. I really didn’t want to take the pill either but I already feel back to myself. I stopped bleeding and cramping as soon as I got Paraguard taken out
