Why isn’t a nod considered giving consent???

Okay so, for every quiz I’ve ever taken in college regarding sexual consent, a nod isn’t considered giving consent.

I don’t understand that. Making eye contact, having the person nod in response to your question or gesture should be seen as a signal from them as a go ahead.

But even like, when you’re driving you give a hand signal to other drivers (like the gesture in this case), make eye contact, and nod to give clear permission to the other driver to do something, and driving is very serious too. So why is it okay with that but not with this??

Note that I’ve always gotten this question correct because I know the answer. I’ve also never been accused of going too far by anyone in a sexual sense. Ever.

I’m genuinely confused about this though
