Would you be comfortable being friends with a lesbian?

Honestly, being friends with straight girls is incredibly difficult for me.

When I was in high school, I lost all of my friends after they found out. It was a Catholic school and the girls were judgmental, but still. Most of them told me they didn’t want to associate with someone living a life of sin. It had nothing to do with my actions, but still.

Since then, it’s just been really hard for me to be friends with straight girls. When I’m with them one on one, my #1 priority is their comfort. I constantly have to think about how to say things, what to say, how to act, and I’m just so worried about her comfort that it ruins my own.

I just think it really damaged me as a person. I don’t ever want a straight girl to feel uncomfortable around me, just because I like girls.

If a lesbian didn’t hit on you, do you think you would be comfortable being friends with her? Please be honest.
