We have an exterminator come monthly, I live in the south bugs are everywhere. He's been inconsistent with the day he comes and broke contract in July by not coming until the end of the month and likes to text us the day before that he's coming. He texted me today 10/30 to tell me he's coming tomorrow 10/31 and I have 24hrs to come up with 50 to pay him which normally isn't a problem but my husband had a short check last week and doesn't get paid till Friday. I tried to tell him before that I didn't want the service anymore because honestly I'm not seeing any difference and he said I owed him the remainder which doesn't make sense since he isn't doing a good job and broke contract first. What would you do in this situation?
