Any hairdressers out there? In need of advice!

I went blonde, and now have 2 1/2 - 3 inches of new growth. I want my hair to grow out so i can get rid of the blonde. I don’t even want to cover it with color because I just want to give my hair a break. I’ve been thinking about doing the big chop where I cut off only the blonde parts and have 2 1/2 - 3 inches of new growth. I just want the blonde and the damage to be gone and I don’t like waiting for my hair to grow out. Any advice?
