Exboyfriend avoiding newborn because of new girlfriend

So I just had my son 15 days ago. My sons dad has only seen him maybe 4 times. (Mind you, he left me for his new girlfriend when I was 8 weeks pregnant. We were together for 2 years and engaged. Definitely a painful shocker). Out of the 4 times he came, he would come with his dad. He never spent alone time with him. So I asked him when he was going to spend time with him and bond and he said (that his significant other does not approve him coming to spend time with his son alone and that she only feels comfortable if he came with someone else) so after hearing that i went completely off!! I mean to the max. Because he is placing my son in second place for a chick. It took me months to get over him but once I did, I picked my head up and moved on and I been over him and I told him that. But it pissed me off that he would allow a chick to come in between him and his sons relationship. I'm not sure why she feels threatened but she obviously does and he is an complete idiot for allowing this woman to dictate when he can see his child. I mean am I wrong for getting upset? As the mature woman that I am, If my now boyfriend was expecting a baby and the baby came, I would trust him enough to see his baby. Only a woman who has trust issues would make a man choose between her and his son. Please give me some advice on this. He is lucky I still allowed him in my sons life after the headache and devastation he caused me!
