What do I do when LO grows out of diaper sizes??

So my 7 month old whom is probably a little over 20lbs now has needed a bigger diaper size then the weight recommendation and she seems to jump sized every few months. She is in a size 5 in honest company and though a 6 is too big the 5s are starting to not cover one of her butt cheeks and the leaking has started she will be in a 6 soon and will probably be growing out of them in a few months. I don’t plan on potty training her for a while but at this rate she’ll be too big for diapers before then, what do I do? Do cloth diapers have bigger sizes? Should I do those? I’ve looked into Honest Co training pants? Anyone else have this issue? I may be able to stretch her till her bday but then what?

Have you tried the size six yet? I always had to do one size up for my daughter even though on the package, it’s at a certain size/weight… But her little buns and thighs have always been So chunky that I always needed the next size up to prevent leaks. It’s totally fine if it comes up past her belly button, it’s the butt and thighs part that really matters to prevent leaks. Gotta make sure that part fits.

I was worried about this too. My 6 month old wears size 5. But my 2 year old wears 6, so does my 4 year old and 6 year old for overnight (my 6 year old is the heaviest sleeper and still wets himself sometimes). As they grow, they also get less chunky thighs and they thin out in the belly. My older ones wear Pampers Cruisers 6.

My son went into a size 6 like this crazy fast and I was scared because those started leaking a few months after I put them on him. I didn't know of any brands with a bigger size. Although with some research I've found a few (not many mind you) size 7 out there (pampers is the most widely known brand I found). Anyways things changed around 9 months or so eventually be stopped leaking and they are still holding strong at 16 months. Their body starts changing as they start walking and they start growing in length more than weight and it evens out. You might be surprised how long they can stay in a size 6. If not google size 7 there are some out there.

I was afraid of this with my boy too. He grew out of diaper sizes quick. But honestly, she’ll even out once she starts walking. Once he started walking, he got taller and thinned out a little bit. He was always on the chunky side and he was about 20lbs at 7-8 months too. Now he is 26 lbs and He’s been in a size 5 since he started walking and I probably won’t have to go up until after Christmas it looks like.

You can use toddler pull ups as diapers. I've seen size 7 diapers before though.

If they out grows the nappy sizes just buy the training pants and use them as you would Nappies. It’s going to be quite some time before they are ready to be toilet trained. I am sure you’ll find nappy sizes to fit for quite some time yet

Have you tried Parasol diapers? That’s what we use and they run bigger than honest co. Or maybe Naty? I had a pack of newborn sized Naty diapers and they were huge... not sure about their other sizes though.

Have you looked into other brands? I’ve heard that Honest diapers run small. She may fit into a smaller size in another brand which would give you more time before she outgrows them.

Cloth diapers will fit longer. Or just go to training pants and start potty training her.

Have you tried Huggies? My daughter is 21lbs and she is in a size 4 in those! She has a couple lbs until she will move into 5’s
