Gum in hair

So Halloween night my super smart husband thought it would be ok to give our two year old her candy bucket before bed because she was throwing a fit he wanted her to stop crying well I woke up to candy all over the bed melted open you name it as she is laying on top of it all well I get up at 4 am for work checking daughters hair didn’t occur to me when I put her snow hat on my sister watched and text me she found gum in her I said said ok I’ll put peanut butter in her hair when I get home I didn’t get home till around 9 she was already asleep so two nights it has been there keep in mind my two yr olds hair just started growing not even to her shoulders not very thick either well come this morning is completely caramelized and hardened to her hair and scalp I put peanut butter but I think it’s too late someone please tell me I can save it somehow

Thank you all so much for your help Coke 👍🏼 genius I washed out the peanut butter and it loosened it really well coke is kind of scary lol that it’s so versatile the gum is out I almost cried

I did let my husband know several times and he is always like that’s my baby girl tho it’s so hard I have two older ones from my previous marriage but these are his first two he definitely needs some parenting help but it’s hard coming from me he thinks I’m just nagging
