Home birth

Is anyone having a home birth or has had a home birth? I’m planning on delivery at home with a water birth. I will have doula and we live only 5 minuets from a hospital (so many people say it’s safer to have a hospital birth but I don’t believe that). Does anyone have any tips or a list of things we’ll need/want? I’ve looked up everything on Pinterest and have been googling a ton of stuff but I wanted to hear from you all. We haven’t decided on a doula yet, any tips on that? Is a post-partum doula important? Sorry for the long post!
