Is my son eating enough? Or even healthily enough?
14 month old boy.
10.4kg (approx. 22.9lbs); 91cm (approx. 35.8inches) tall.
Breakfast (8am-9am): 1.5 weetbix biscuits with hot water and milk.
Snack (10am): I try giving him fruit such as an apple or watermelon, but he won’t eat it. Just throws it around.
Lunch (12pm): sandwich (no crust) with either vegemite or jam.
1:30pm - 240ml milk before nap.
Snack (2-3pm): Around this time, my fiancé and I sit outside for an afternoon coffee together. And I get my son a small bowl of yoghurt to try and get the hang of using a spoon (I can’t tell you how much he usually gets into his mouth - he’s pretty terrible with a spoon...)
Dinner (5-5:30pm): a bowl of meat, vegetables and rice (which sometimes takes a lot of tantrum throwing to get him to eat).
6:30-7pm: 240ml milk before bed.
Note: I have a hard time with getting him to eat fruit and vegetables, if anyone has any ideas on how I can get him to eat more, that’d be great!
