We were just talking about voting in my business class today abc my professor asked us who was voting and I swear, not even half of my classmates raised their hand!! It’s so crazy to me that people my age aren’t voting when we’re the highest percentage of the population and things NEED to change and more young people should actually care! I just don’t understand why people wouldn’t vote or think it wouldn’t matter.🙄😔 and if you voted no on 12 (California) , f u.

I'm going to vote in the morning, working 3rd tonight, but obviously dead here, so I'm online, lol.
Unfortunately, ppl make fun of me for voting. Voting is important to me, I'm a very political person because I care so much about what's good for everyone. 
Many people, especially ppl who see past the two-party crap, get so discouraged about voting. They say it makes no difference, but it does. Especially local elections, if nothing else! The corruption is higher the bigger the amount of power. 
People need to stop giving lip service to stuff and not voting. Sure, our rights are being stripped away, the corporate oligarchy basically owns our politicians, there is voter fraud and corruption, but my right to vote is still here, and as long as it is, no one is ever going to take that away from me by saying it doesn't count. 
Unless you're starting a revolution tomorrow, you better be out there voting AGAINST POTENTIAL FASCISM. Use the power you do have! 
It's just sad ppl are getting discouraged out of our ability to exercise one of the freedoms we still have, throwing away all the power you do have... cut it the heck out and stop being lazy. 
Unfortunately, democracy isn't completely foolproof- as in, we've got a ton of morons voting or ppl who won't take the time to educate themselves enough to get truly involved- and if you're not voting because you don't know anything, imo, it's kind of a duty of yours to learn if you're going to complain about wanting things to be better. 
If our population just sits idly by and rolls over, well, we get what we have & it will only get worse.
At the same time, right exactly now, maybe everyone should just stop, stop being involved in big politics, because it's being used to divide the population & make ppl angry and hateful. 
So maybe if you cannot be sweet, detox on politics until you can be civil and more objective.

Funny thing is though is that young people ALSO have the highest rate of changing their mind and political views as they get older..  maybe it isn't such a big deal that they don't vote until they have been adults a little while and have a better understanding of what they are voting for.. rather than having to vote to undo their own voting as they get older and their political views evolve. 🤷🏽‍♀️
Generally I think it is ok of people who aren't interested in educating themselves on the issues don't bother to vote. An uneducated voting population is super dangerous,  and many people who choose not to vote do so because they know they haven't taken the time to educate themselves properly on the issues at hand..
