PREGNANT WITHOUT GETTING A PERIOD

I was diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries (PCOS) last year and I have very irregular periods ever since. I am not necessarily actively trying for a baby but we weren’t using any form of contraceptives either. My last period was on 30 June 2018 which is over 4 months ago. It’s not unusual for me to go months without having a period so I didn’t really think anything of it when I didn’t have a period.

Lately I have been feeling extremely tired at work (falling asleep on my desk) and my boobs were a bit sore so I decided to take a pregnancy test just to be sure. I had the hugest shock of my life when the test came back positive 😳 😱. Based on the calculation using the first date of my last period 30 June 2018, I thought I may possibly about 18 weeks pregnant.

I had a scan today and found out that I am only 6 weeks and one day which meant I conceived without having a period as my last period was in June. I didn’t even think that that was medically possible. My doctors explanation is because of my PCOS my ovaries may have gone to sleep and woke up in September 😶🤷‍♀️

Does any one else have similar experience of this I would really love to hear from you.
