So irritated

Amanda

Anyone else tell your family the name you have decided on, just for them to say they hate it? We found out today that we are having a girl. We are so excited because this is our first and only girl. Our son is 10 years old.

I called my mom and told her that we had decided to name her Eleanor Katherine and that we will call Ella Kate. Her reaction? “Oh, Katherine is nice I guess. I hate Eleanor. I told you that this baby’s name was Anna-Grace, I’ll come up with nickname for her.”

Am I wrong to be upset?
