Kidney transplant and first time grandma!

So this week has been crazy to say the least. We had plans to go down to my parents in laws house for an early thanksgiving and exchange gifts with my sister in law and her husband early for Christmas. Our plan was to give them all baby announcements gifts (t-shirts and mugs) at the same time.

Well Tuesday we got news that my mother in law was called in to town to get her long awaited kidney transplant! She’s been on dialysis for 6 years, so everyone is super happy it’s finally time. Everyone came into our town due to the change of plans. She’s still recovering in the hospital and just got moved out of the icu tonight. We are planning on bringing the presents into the hospital tomorrow night to surprise everyone. It will be her first grandchild, and with everything happening at once I think it will be a really emotional time for us all!

Wish us luck! This will be our first family announcement at 11 weeks. I cannot wait!
