So here’s how this goes 😓😓

Thursday I woke up to extreme back pain , thinking nothing of labor (dr already told me I would go pass due date and would need to be induced 😒😒😒) . Anyways I continued to blame my back pain bc I over worked myself on Wednesday so as expected I knew I was going to be in pain. Well that pained turned into light contractions by 4pm, 5pm rolled around they where moderate, just major discomfort. So then by 9pm I could barely stand, walk or sit called l& d was told to Time the contractions for 2 hours , walk around and stay hydrated ( yeah haha nope not the walking part 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️) anyways I try to take a shower to ease up the pain , and it did for a few minutes, was able to lay down . More than 5 min later in excruciating pain everywhere . (But I was telling myself mind over matter raven, mind over matter you got this 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾) yeah no held off till 12:30am told l& d I’m coming in (screw whatever they gotta tell me) . So hospital is 40 min away (my dads a cop lol,) lol so I was like cop car now let’s go . Hooped in the squad sirens a going (🚔🚔🚔🚔🚨🚨🚨) got there in 15 min. Triage nurse checked me no dilation so she monitored me for a hour, checked dilation still nada. Told me to walk around the hospital for a hour then she’ll check me again. (At that point me and walking trying to put one foot infront of the other lol impossible) I just sat down . Hour passed obvi nothing , then something came over me like (no I’m not going home they will admit me today, get your ass up ) got up walked and hour which felt like 7 hours. She checked me 1cm dilated , she called the dr explained my pain and what not , dr made the call to admit me . I’m happy bc of that . Got admit and moved to the labor and delivery room , contractions outta control I’m yelling at that top of my lungs( like whaling ). She tried to give me morphine through the IV ( that shit didn’t work plus it was dripping out) so no relief there . She came back gave me a shot in the right but cheek and did a new morphine . Still didn’t work, called for the epidural. The anesthesiologist took forever to get to my room (then had the nerve to try and have a conversation with me , like nah bro give me my meds! ) finally he got the epidural in me probably administered more than he should on me bc I was high as a kite . Felt like I was floating . I could not feel anything from my waist down, nurse was telling me to push when i felt a little pressure I was just like I cant feel anything how do i know if I’m pushing 😣😣😂😂 she said I’ll tell you when to push ; I said how would you know when I should push you’re not going through this . She said the monitor will tell me i just looked at her like 👀🤫 . She just smiled 😂😂. Anyways pushing like she told me too, then she told me to stop, I just needed to move his head further down I said okay . So we wait for a hour she a checks again fully dilated . Her face was like 😱😱 omgawd that was quick. I’ll call the doctor bc you are ready . I said okay let’s do this 🤩🤩 . Dr got in the room I start to push, again couldn’t feel myself pushing but supposedly I was doing a great job. 5 pushes

And he was out . Dr got the placenta out didn’t feel that either . I felt paralyzed for like 2 hours . 😂😂 with the epidural but I’m so glad I got it . So now 3 days pp, me and my boy just relaxing . He was suppose to be here on 11/13 but came to start taking over the world on 11/9. Weighing in at 6lbs and 6 oz, 19 in long . I did suffer from a second degree tear. But I’m recovering nicely and I’m home .
