Too much?

So I’m a high school teacher, and I spend 3 out of the 5 days helping out after school Tuesdays and Thursdays I help out in after school homework help the school likes to consider it study but study after school. And on Wednesday’s there’s Math prep for state testing that the 10th graders will take in May. It all runs from 2:15-3:45 EST. And I have fairly young kids. My kids are 10,8,6 and almost 10 months old. And a 17 year old step daughter and 2 year old step daughter. I have a step son too who’s away at college. Do any of you think I’m spending a little more time helping out after school then with my kids? I do get paid for the days I help out except if a students just staying after with me in my office (room) it sucks being a floating teacher on a cart lol.

If you’re done at 3:45 that is earlier than most desk jobs so I’d say you are not doing too much. Plus, you’re getting paid and that’s never a downside.

Both my husband and I are teachers and varsity coaches. I practice before school (5:30 am) and he practices after school (until 5 pm). We also have game nights and he refs other sports. Our son goes with us. I put him in a carrier and he has ear muffs to lessen the noise of the gym and pep band. If I could leave school by 3:45 in the coaching off season, that would be amazing.
