Nipple Pain!?!?!

I hope everyone is feeling well and blessed! I will just cut to the question. Does anybody else experience AWFUL, and I mean awful, sharp burning type pain in their nipples when they harden or start to harden? This is my first pregnancy - 17 weeks 3 days today and everytime I get cold or if my left nipple begins to harden it hurts and continues to hurt REALLY bad sometimes for 30 minutes or so. Does anybody else experience this and have any type of solution?

UPDATE SECOND QUESTION- Does this go away because I plan to breastfeed and not to sound like a wimp but the left boob may be out of the food chain if this type of pain stays constant!
