Nightmares before you go on VACATION??? 🌴🌺🌊

I have been having terrible nightmares ever since we planned our Hawaii vacation a couple months ago. 😰😩 We leave in February and I’m worried that they will just get worse and worse until our vacation just feels like a terrible looming creature! 
They are mostly about forgetting stuff but some are about my family or my husbands family randomly joining us and ruining our trip. It’s our 5th anniversary trip so it is special but we have both previously been to Hawaii (at separate times as kids). I hate feeling like this about something that is supposed to be fun and relaxing.

I typically get anxiety over forgetting things. I start a list way in advance of things I need to bring and have that on my phone. I don’t pressure myself to complete the list right away. I typically write things in as I think of them. Like if I’m brushing my teeth and forgot to write tooth brush, I’ll add it in. It’s also helpful to look up vacation check lists online.
Your parents might be coming into the dreams because you haven’t been there with your SO yet. Try watching vacation or travel videos on YouTube you hype you up. Fill your head with more good thoughts to drown out the worries.

usually my wrists center around someone drowning, getting lost, or me dying in some freak accident like the ship goes down. I just make sure to be extra watchful, but if it's my posdible and probably unlikely death I tend not to care because then I'll have no worries.

Having a nightmare with yourself in it is not always meant for you. It's possible that it will happen to someone else but not you. I hope you and your SO has a wonderful time. Congratulations on 5 years!!!

Sometimes when I’m super excited about something I get nightmares about it. Like I made plans with a friend to meet up so she could meet my newborn son for the first time, and the entire week leading up to the visit I was having nightmares about not making it, or that I really didn’t want to go but I had to, although in reality I was looking forward to it 🤷🏽‍♀️
