Finally get to be really excited about our baby at 21 weeks
We did not allow ourselves really to get happy and excited all because of a possible genetic abnormality. After NIPT at 10 weeks which came back with high risk for Trisomy 18, and a doctor who wanted to terminate based on this screening test alone, a CVS at 13 weeks, which came back positive for mosaic Trisomy 18 (with a high chance that it was confined to the placenta and baby is healthy), an amnio at 16 weeks and, followed by a TWW for results, a second doctor who did not bother to even read the date on the test results and announced to us that amnio confirmed Trisomy in the fetus, so we we're discussing termination at this point, which was really heartbreaking, a phone call on the following day with the actual amnio results where the word NORMAL sounded so surreal (turned out the doctor read CVS tests results dated almost a month earlier), I had an anatomy scan yesterday and our little girl is healthy, moving like a champ, and is so so beautiful... I cannot stop crying, so happy. We're going to have a beautiful baby girl in March. We were assigned yet another doctor, high risk specialist this time, since the placenta is mosaic and hopefully it will, but may not work to full capacity. Great news - next appointment is in 4 weeks and not sooner, which means our girl is really doing awesome and so far there is no reason for concern.
And here she is my little flower

Looks like she's sleeping.
Well she's not! She was moving so.much the technician took over an hour to complete the scan.
I'm so in love with her
