First period in 6 years

Yesterday I started my first period in 6 years. I’ve had an IUD since becoming sexually active at 18 and now my husband and I are trying to conceive and i has it taken out. I’m relieved that my period came about a month and a half after taking the IUD out since sometimes it can take up to a year to have the body realign back to normal and start ovulation. I haven’t had a period or any PMS symptoms for so long though... I feel like a middle schooler thinking about weather or not I’m prepared for my period. I forgot the amount of effort this takes! Thinking about when I need to change my tampon, how many I need in my purse and what to wear in case there’s a leak is bizarre.
