Do you think the domestic violence laws/protocols in place now are enough

Today in Chicago a ER doctor was killed by her ex fiancé in the parking lot of the hospital where she worked. After he killed her he went inside the hospital and randomly killed a police officer plus two more people. A few months back a young lady posted on Facebook that her ex boyfriend was stalking her. She said she had an active restraining order against him but he was still stalking her. She said he snatched her wig off set it on fire and threw it back at her. She suffered severe burns. She made a post about it. He killed her a week later...

These two women did everything right to get out of their relationships with these men but were killed anyway. What can women do? What needs to be changed regarding the laws in place. This is not working and it breaks my heart that women are losing their lives to these sick bastards. How do y’all feel about this?
