Nope. My mom taught me a lot growing up but the most important thing was to never let a man abuse me. She let me know I don’t need a man and I sure don’t need a man that would ever lay hands on me. 
My husband is wonderful, my moms thrilled 😂 she says she’s waited all my teenage life to get the call that a man has hit me and she’s going to jail 😂

Oh, hell no. I will never ever let ANYONE put their hand on me. I grew up being abused by my own mother and I don’t need this from anyone else. If my boyfriend ever gets physical with me, I’ll fucking leave him in a dust. I don’t care if he cries his eyes out, begs me to come back and makes a lot of promises to never touch me, I’m not going to be with someone who thinks it is ok to abuse the one who they are supposed to love, protect and care for.
