The first few months after birth control...

My husband and I decided back at the end of August to start trying. I had been on the Nuva Ring birth control for many years, and before that the pill. I was on some sort of birth control for around 14 years. The first 2 months without birth control nothing was really different for me, this month though it kind of seems like my “period” is never ending. Every morning there is blood, enough to have a tampon until mid morning then it goes away. Has anyone had something similar? My periods were never regular before I got on birth control (one of the reasons I was put on it to begin with). Just kind of curious to see if anyone else has experienced it or any other thoughts/commentary.
