Anyone else feel overwhelmed by their thanksgiving with baby?

People swarmed my baby all night. There were always at least 5-6 people surrounding us and talking to my baby and touching her. I just wanted to escape to a quiet corner. 😭 Anyone else feel overwhelmed?

Am I the only mom who finds family events as a break from having to entertain and worry about my baby all day? I love my family to death and I don’t worry about germs so I see family events like thanksgiving as a time where I can finally get a break. The only time I don’t want other people handling my son is when he is crying. I feel like I’m the only one who can make that better so if he starts to get upset then I take him back.

We made it well known that our daughter was not going to be passed around like a side dish. Other than me and my husband, only two other people held her the whole time. It was great 🙌🏼

Omg yes my husband and I were on the verge of an anxiety attack the whole day. Everyone passing our 2 month old around and not washing their freaking hands beforehand and kissing his head

Now we’re safe at home and we are going to bathe this little germ magnet!

My babies hate everyone but me and their dad, I secretly love it in certain situations, but what drove me crazy today was trying to cook and entertain twin 18 month old monsters pretty sure I need new spices...not even looking until tomorrow. The rest of the house is also destroyed.

Yup but I live in Canada, we already had thanksgiving in October. This is the very reason why my SO and I just had thanksgiving with only the three of us.

Felt this way when I took my baby to church for the first time. Haven't gone back since. Figured it was easier to just stay home for the first months. My baby is now 6 months old. My family knows they have to wash or use hand sanitizer before touching her. I always carry sanitizer in her diaper bag toi
