What’s going on

So me and my ex broke up a few months ago, but we are still very good friends we will talk occasionally. So a few days ago he texted me saying he’s been sad and depressed because he just got over a bad breakup, and since then he’s been sleeping around. While he’s been doing that he said he found someone like me and he said they remind him a lot about me and he started to like them because they have my personality. He said he wants someone like me but that doesn’t live far away. We broke up over distance. What’s your thought on this? I do miss him and he was the first guy I dated and loved but idk if he still feels the same
