Breast pumps?

Question

Any mommas who can recommend breast pumps? How did you choose yours and what do you like about it? I'm pregnant with our first and would like to buy a pump before the end of the year if possible (so I could use my FSA for accessories and anything not covered by insurance). I'll be going back to work full-time so portability and noise level are both important considerations. No manual pump recommendations please. Hope this discussion is useful for other FTMs out there too!

I used a medela pump in style with my first. I had no complaints. I liked that it was easy to find parts for (pretty much everything is compatible with a PIS) but mostly I used it because that’s what everyone else I knew had used. 
I don’t plan to do as much pumping this time around (SAHM now) but if I need to I’m sure it’ll still work.

I’ve heard the Spectras are great and it’s a closed system so no mold buildup!!
I’m also a FTM but am going to get the spectra 1 (it’s a $60 upcharge for my insurance compared to the spectra 2 but it has the battery pack so you can pump anywhere) the spectra 2 is the same model but needs to be plugged into the wall

Loveddddd my spectra S1!! It was so quiet (I pumped in a closet at my job) And I didn’t have a plug in so it being rechargeable was the best part! I did also buy a manual pump that I could use at home when I was too full.

SPECTRA SPECTRA Spectra!!! No risk of mold in the unit because it’s a closed system! I loved it so much better than my medella!!!!

I used a Medela for my first two. With my third I had another Medela but ended up getting a Spectra S2 and I love it! I can’t wait to use it with this baby. I signed up for it through Aeroflow.com and I only had to spay a small amount that my insurance didn’t cover. Each month they send me new supplies for free. It’s awesome. I recommend that site for whichever pump you go with.

Medela was the best for me! Used exclusively for 3 months every 2-3 hours until daughter would latch.

A lot of moms seem to love the Spectra and recommend it over the Medela. Given that I plan to return to work full time and travel a fair bit, I think the rechargeable S1 is probably a better choice for me than the S2. Now onto logistics--did you get your pump through insurance directly or like some posters have suggested (THANK YOU, what a great resource to share) through a third-party provider like Aeroflow or Pumping Essentials? Do you know of any that cover the S1 without an upgrade fee?
