Never give up.

This time of the year is really hard for me. I've dealt with more in the last 2 years than anyone should in a lifetime.

I've never really had a good support system, so I cope and deal alone.

This year I'm not able to do that. I actually found someone who won't allow it.

He's been unbelievably supportive and caring for me, I honestly don't know how to handle it.

I'm not used to it. What I'm used to is being the supporter.

So, right now he needs it. And of course I show no hesitation to give it.

We are by no means a perfect couple, but we're perfect for each other.

I've been getting a lot of heat for sticking by his side while he battles these demons he's repressed for a long time.

The problem I've noticed is society sees people with mental illness as unimportant.

Someone with mental illness in hospital is treated far less compassionately than someone with a typical illness.

God forbid that person seak help if they feel suicidal or alone. The place that should help makes you feel worse.

I know this from personal experience.

The reason I'm posting this is because I know a lot of people struggle this time of the year. For many reasons and some you may not know or understand.

Instead of abandoning or judging them, stick by their side. Support them, be there for them.

The difference a kind soul makes is overwhelming.

I hope EVERYONE enjoys their holidays x
