Did you gain on the pill or the shot? How did you like either of them

everyone’s different. i gained a ton of weight on it. 25-30 lbs! & took 6 months to lose it all due to the hormones & water detention caused by it!

I’m currently on the pill, and I don’t have many complaints. It caused me to get some mild acne for the first month, but I changed my skincare routine a little bit and it’s gone away completely. Other than that, I haven’t had any side effects.

I was on the depo shot for 3 years and I didn’t gain any weight. I did not like the shot at all , it made me very moody, i had bad headaches , and it caused me to have low bone marrow. 
Honestly i don’t suggest anyone to take the depo. That’s my opinion

I am currently on the shot right now. It is the only form of birth control I have taken. I dont trust myself enough to remember to take a pill at a certain time in the day. The depo shot can make you gain weight it is what my doctor told me to be careful of. I haven't gained any weight so far, in fact I have actually lost some (not from the shot though, i have been doing a diet). I have been on the shot since june so roughly 6 months. I love it. I dont really seem to feel any side effects. The only thing I have noticed is that my sex drive seems to be almost nonexistent. Like dont get me wrong once my S/O and I get going it's great, but the thought of sex doesnt really turn me on. I dont have any complaints about it so far. I go in once every three months to get a simple little shot that takes all of 20 seconds and then I am on my way. I love it. I just keep a reminder on my phone for when it is due and then go in on those days! My clinic even gave out a sheet that makes it easy to know when you have to go in.
