How do i tell my mom?

Hi so im 17 and lately ive been thinking about getting the Implant but i dont know how to bring it up in a conversation with my mom. She’s told me before that when ever i felt ready to tell her but i think she was talking about taking the pill (which i dont want to get). Im pretty shy with these kinds of things but i feel like its time for me to get on birth control. Help!!
Update: i told my mom and she didn’t agree with me even getting on birth control she said there was no need for me to be on it and it wasn’t necessary even after i told her pluses and facts she didnt change her mind so i gave up.

Definitely just be straightforward. Tell her you think it's time and remind her that she told you to go to her. Then let her know you are considering the implant and maybe even explain why (most effective with typical and perfect use, lasts 3-4 years etc, don't have to remember to take anything etc)

implanon can seriously mess you up. I had it for 6 years and it has so many side effects.  You’re young so I’d defs recommend starting with basics (the pill). Just talk to her about it. It’s good that she has brought it up i the past.

I have the implant and i love it! It depends on your body how it reacts. I told my mom that the pill didn’t work for me, i literally ALWAYS forgot to take it. I showed her a lot of research and benefits. If you show her that you have really researched it and explain it to her and tell her you think it’s the best for your body type (i do recommend actually researching) then she will probably consider it. Don’t be afraid to talk to her, moms want to you to be able to :) hope this helps!

Girl just tell her I can guarantee that she would rather you tell her you want birth control than you telling her your pregnant because you didn't get birth control. take it from a mom with 6 daughters just tell her . You will feel better I promise.

When I got it I told my mom that I was getting it because I know that I won’t remember the pill and even though I wasn’t having sex (which I totally was lol) I wanted to be protected just in case since you never know what may happen. 
She was totally on board.
