My partner wants me to go back on BC

So... I’m really bummed out, my partner just told me he isn’t ready to have a baby and wants me to go back on BC. We had agreed in July that we were going to try and that I should take off my BC but be sprung his new opinion on me on Monday.

His reasoning is that he is trying to get his life together and doesn’t want a baby to go through the same struggles he did ( he had a very absentee mother). He also told me he has been hesitant to have sex because he was scared I would get pregnant.

The thing is we had sex when I was ovulating and I’m now 6 days late. I told him I was late and he told me that I should get an abortion if I am pregnant.

Idk how to feel, I don’t want to get an abortion since I am ready to have a baby but I also don’t want to do this alone. I was TTC because I thought we were on the same page but he got me completely off guard with this new revelation.
