Does treating someone the same way they treat you, open their eyes?

If you treat your SO/bestfriend/friend how they treat you, would that open their eyes to how they treat you? Or does it make problems worse?

Personally I don’t believe in treating someone the way they treat me. It’s just petty and toxic. If someone is treating me like shit all the time I’m going to cut them out of my life

Unfortunately people that tend to treat others badly don’t realize what they’re doing or that they’re in the wrong. So when you treat them the same, you end up being the bad guy 😒

I treat people the way I expect to be treated. If the way they treat me doesn’t live up to my expectations, then I either speak up or cut them off. I don’t need unnecessary negativity in my life.

Chances are it’ll make problems worse, and it’s not a good habit to pick up! 
Instead, try telling him exactly why *those* actions (or inactions) are hurting you! 
Sometimes people are completely oblivious to the fact that they’re hurting another person until they’re told. Especially in relationships! You’re still learning the other person and their wants and needs.

I voted yes... But really it depends. Some people will never understand the error of their ways no matter what; with those people it's better to just let it go and be the bigger person. I will sometimes get a little petty revenge when someone is being unreasonable to me and I don't want to throw away the entire person lol. Sorry, not sorry.
