I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant I had a scan today, but I’ve been experiencing a headache for about 7 days now and I can feel my heart pounding when I’m laid in bed and thats been happening for about 2 weeks could it be high blood pressure? Shall I get checked? Only way I can get checked is a&E or a walk in centre since my doctors isn’t open on a weekend

Hey girl. I remember with my first baby I began experience that racing heart feeling. I asked my doctors about it and it’s completely normal bc of the extra blood that your body has and how much harder your body is working at pumping the blood. If you’re worried about your BP, try to go to a grocery store or CVS that has a blood pressure machine. It’s cheaper than a visit to the hospital. But if it’s about the fast heart thing, that’s completely normal, I’ve already felt it in this pregnancy on and off too.

Definitely get checked, I was very dehydrated when I had a migraine for a week none stop and would get dizzy and almost fall. It’s better to be safe when it comes to pregnancy
