Question about nystatin for thrush:

My 2 week old son has thrush and was prescribed nystatin 4x daily. He is breastfed though. Will the medicine for him be enough to clear it up or am I going to reinfect him by breastfeeding him? The doctor didnt say anything needed to be applied to my nipples but now that I'm looking things up I see that a lot of people had prescriptions for themselves as well as their baby. Will my sons prescription alone clear it up or do I need to worry about getting myself a prescription too? Did the doctor just overlook that on accident maybe?
