Medical discharge?

So my husband is National guard and was Injured at an over seas military training almost two years ago. He had surgery a year ago and the military is upset now saying that he should be healed and he isn’t anywhere close so there is now talk of discharge (I truly don’t think he will ever heal from it I think he has permanent damage it’s bad enough that he had to quit his manufacturing job because he just physically couldn’t do it so he found a desk job) we are really worried about him getting medically discharged financially we can’t afford insurance from our civilian employment and loosing those droll checks is really going to hit hard. I know no one can tell me what he would get for disability pay but I was wondering if anyone has a rough idea on what we could expect so maybe we can stop stressing so much or start making a game plan on how to supplement what we are loosing
