Ok the “s/o age post” was really cool and lots of people participated. however, it has me wondering... i noticed quite a few women have been dating men who were anywhere from 27-35 at the age of 16. i find that to be quite disturbing. im not sure exactly what a man at that age could want from a young lady that age except sex and control. Alot of us like to say at 16 we were mature, blah blah blah. But let’s be real... at 16 we had experience absolutely nothing.  Not to mention we were only juniors in high school, and still under supervision of our parents/guardians. glow is an occupied will millions of women wanting children or who already have them. You’d actually be ok with a full grown man/woman courting your 16 year old child?

I think it’s creepy when any adult is interested in a minor.  I always cringe when I see posts like “I was 15 and he was 25, 10 years later we’re still together” 🤮 these guys are predators. Same as older women with minors

I think technically they're Ephebophiles which is sexual attraction to late stage adolescents (15-19) typically. I was 18 and dating a 28 year old and it made me feel cool, but dude was not right and I'd be upset if my daughters had that big of an age difference that young. I honestly feel like there's something wrong with older men (like late 20's early 30's and older) sniffing around young teen but technically "legal" girls. Why can't they get a woman their own age?

In my opinion, it’s POSSIBLE (but very unlikely) for a teen and someone in their early twenties to be together for actual love, but anyone above 25 should not even be looking at a teen girl like that.  Anytime I see a teenage boy I’m like “what a peasant” lol I could never find a teenager attractive and I’m 21
Oh and personal opinion, how can girls in their early 20’s find dudes in their 30’s and up attractive???  Again I’m 21 and if I see a dude 30 or older I’m like “you look like my dad”.  That’s just weird.  I mean ig there’s some attractive 30yo’s but I’d still never consider ever dating one.  But idk that’s just me.

Yes!!! Looking back to when I was in high school I was 15/16 and had men in their 20's trying to pursue me! At the time I thought it was because I was "mature" and it made me feel grown and "cool" lol. But now I'm realizing these nasty ass men were preying on me. I'm 20 now and I couldn't even imagine pursuing a 17 year old.

My husband actually just said something about this the other day. He saw a woman walking down the street and was like damn look at that ass. Passed her and saw her face in the mirror and she could have only been 15-16. He felt like such an ass hole and like a predator just because of that. Once he saw her age his mind instantly stopped. But he felt so bad for thinking that way at first. I think it can happen and work out. I dated a 20 year old at 16. However I didn’t tell my parents either. I would say past like 25 you shouldn’t be looking at a teen ager that way.

It's disgusting to see grown men that are attracted to minors. It's highly unlikely they have anything in common and there is no way in hell they want anything except sex from them. I would know because I was a minor that dated older men. But in my opinion there is no reason to judge adults (18+) dating older people. I get most people think they are also being used or have nothing in common with the older individual because most 18 year olds are just getting out in to the world, probably still live with parents, barely know how the world works yet, etc. In the end though they are adults whom are free to make there are own decisions in life. Plus there are people who are/were 18 and not the typical stereotype teenager such as myself. I'm 19 and have been dating a 27 year old for over a year now. We met when I was 18 he was 26 and we have had no age issues and actually a lot in common despite the age difference. My situation is different than most girls though. I experienced adulthood long before I turned 18 and because of that was more mature and educated on many life situations than most gals my age. I feel that's why me and my boyfriend usually don't even realize the age difference. It's actually crazy how much we are alike both mentally and in our personality.
