Why can’t I pick the right guy?

I have a history of shitty bfs and the guy I’m with is dreamy, good job, nice truck, nice to my family (my mom adores him) but he just doesn’t give me enough attention. Am I being ungrateful? There’s this guy who literally does everything to make me feel the happiest (lets call him David) and today I was in a car wreck. My bf checked on me hours later and then went to the gym instead of staying with me. The first person to message me was David checking on me. And I can’t just leave my bf because I’m terrified to be alone and starting over is awful.
