Braces, or veneers?

As a child I always despised my teeth, and trained myself not to smile with my teeth, and to cover my mouth when I laugh, so now it's a reflex.. I laugh..I cover my mouth, without even thinking. It's such a tiny thing, but by far my biggest insecurity. If anyone has had experience with either braces, or veneers, I'd love to hear how you did with them, and how the whole process went for you!

Your teeth themselves are beautiful they have great shape and colour to them , but they need to be straightened . I have had both braces and Invisalign I prefer Invisalign a lot less painful. There is no reason for you to cover up your teeth . It’s incredibly expensive if you want them to look good about $50,000 Vs $8000 for braces  (which are covered most times unlike veneers ) It’s only going to take about a year of braces and they will be perfect.

Two teeth straightening options are braces or invisalign (other clear aligners e.g spark). Braces are generally a bit cheaper depending on what brand your orthodontist uses, they are also generally faster than invisalign. Another pro of braces is that they are always on so you don’t have to remember to take them off or put them back on etc. Invisalign is clear and hardly noticeable if that’s something that matters to you then invisalign is the way to go, in saying that however, you can get clear ceramic braces brackets that are less noticeable (assuming your orthodontist offers them). You’re teeth are easier to maintain with invisalign as you’ll just take the aligners out and brush your teeth like normal. You can whiten with invisalign but this is not recommended for braces. Veneers are also very pricey and will take future maintenance. People generally only get one set of veneers on their top teeth. So if this is what you would want then you would have to keep both bottom and top teeth the same colour which some people
find difficult. Veneers would require ongoing maintenance as they will eventually wear down over time. They do look amazing though! Best thing to do is to talk to an orthodontist or general dentist about what option would suit you best. Hope this helps (sorry it’s long)

I have heard Invisalign is also good.. especially if you are older... but I think they are more expensive then regular braces.
