Ok, is this legal?

(State of California) I work at a Smoothie shop and I’m a supervisor so my shift is usually 3pm to 10:30pm. Recently my manager has been making me take my 30 minute break at 4.. yes, an hour into my 7.5 hour shift. Which means, for the next 6 hours, I’m working without a break or even get to sit down. Also, by 6 I’m usually alone running the store by myself because they refuse to pay an extra employee.

It just doesn’t seem fair or legal?

Does anybody know if anything about this is illegal? Lmk!

Also, we’ve had some concerns about staying alone at night because the store is located in a super sketchy part of town. Just on Wednesday there was a man trying to walk in through the back door and the police was called. The manager and owners do not care about our safety. They refuse to 1. Close the store early since they don’t want to pay an extra employee or 2. Just let supervisors keep a closer so it’s less scary. (I’ll add that all supervisors are female except for one male, who closes only once a week)
