HCG levels quadrupled??!

Question

Ladies i am freaking out a bit, got tested initially for hcg on 11/20 at 6 weeks from LMP and got 47,500
Now retested 12/05 at 8 weeks LMP and got 187,000!!
Either its more than one or its a super sticky baby?! Lol
Anyone had or has this happening?

That's usually how it works. At that time it usually takes about 4 days to double.. solo 40,000 x 2 = 80,000 at around 6w5d... then another 4 days to double... 80,000x2 = 160,000 at 7d3d ish... if it were to double again! It would've been like 320,000 by 8 weeks. But doubling starts to slow down alot more the higher you get. Needless say, you still seem to be doubling at a normal rate.

It's more then likely only one baby...mine from 6 to 8 weeks did the same...the doctor said they skyrocketed and I only have one bean in there!! So be happy you have a very happy healthy bean too!!
